One of the more unappreciated yet amazing film noir movies from the 1940s. If you can look past the cliches and the B-grade acting the movie is a true gem at conveying some of the existential loneliness many people feel, the deceptions that people play on each other, and how even if you think you know where you’re going in life there can suddenly be detours that take you on a whole new route.
