Someone, a woman who won an Oscar actually, built a house like this on the island here on the East Coast (Atlantic) I live on and it just seems so out of place. Gorgeous view and nicely furnished but it’s style just sticks out like a sore thumb here. Although we have setbacks (you can’t build THAT close to the shore here) the house is built right at the setback line and it’s flat between the house and the top of the beach so at some point the ocean is going to smash it.
