Though I’m not particularly fond of country music as a whole there are or have been some country artists over the years that I’ve liked a lot. I have some Loretta Lynn & Tammy Wynette songs but those were bought half in jest. I love Dwight Yokum, Roseanne Cash, Rodney Crowell, and some early Randy Travis. Dolly I’ve never warmed up to musically but I love, love, love her as a personality. But Patsy Cline’s voice is, to me, just out of this world – one of my top ten favourite voices for sure. I also admire Patsy for the fact that she smashed through that glass ceiling for female artists in Nashville and country music.
