I love this picture. If you look at her hair… it appears to be symmetrical and then on closer inspection the left side is just a shadow and her hair is swept to the right, even more beautiful and glamourous.

My father sailed on the French Line’s “Ile de France” from New York to Le Havre in the early 1950s to take in the sights of western Europe rebuilding after WWII and to start his advanced studies at Oxford University in England.
