      • Don’t mean to split hairs. Tuxedos are really a nickname for a dinner coat typically accompanied with black tie and never have tails. Tail coats (above) are worn typically with white tie and are considered more formal than a tuxedo.

      • Thanks for enlightening me, I didn’t know. I don’t have a lot – or any – black tie events in my life but I do own a very fancy suit for special occasions and a cheap suit for the mundane events.
