When I was 12 years old my family went on a vacation, and traveled all around Colorado, Utah, Arizona, and New Mexico. The things I liked the best were the Rocky Mountains in Colorado around Aspen – and Monument Valley. I guess I was more impressed by things that jut up into the sky than big holes in the ground (Grand Canyon, Bryce Canton, etc.).
