Navy cadet graduation tradition
The freshman graduating class at the US Naval Academy in Annapolis apparently has a tradition where they have to get sprayed down with water then climb a tall granite obelisk that has been slathered with something like Crisco grease and then retrieve a sailor’s hat from the top of the obelisk without the aid of ladders. I am no strict Freudian but, ahem, it does look verrrrry gay to me. Glad my tax dollars are being spent on some good, clean man-on-man fun.
