The first time I saw barracuda snorkeling in the Caribbean I thought they were mackeral. Ha ha. Wrong. But they didn’t bother me. However, on a couple of different occasions I’ve been on beaches in the Caribbean while everyone had to get out of the water because there was a gigantic (up to 2 meters/6 feet) long barracuda lurking in the shallow water right next to the shore.
