How neat you should find the first image, Matthew! It is from Jean Cocteau’s weird and wonderful “Blood of a Poet,” (1930). Nothing makes much sense, but the images are incredible–especially a young girl who, berated by her mother, crawls on her back up a wall and across the ceiling, and shakes at her.
