The last/bottom picture was taken just a few days ago when there were some astronomical high tides that made Mont. St. Michel into an island – something that very rarely happens. I’ve been there before and it’s truly magnificent. Well, it’s magnificent to look at from afar, the place itself is predictably very touristy and crowded.
