The US is only decades behind Canada in affordable health care and a decade behind on gay rights but after this whirlwind week at least now we’re much, much closer to being on the same page. Finally. Don’t get me wrong, I’m very happy about the US Supreme Court upholding the Affordable Care Act and legalizing Same Sex Marriage. Very. But you’ll excuse me if, as a 50 year old man, I’m a little pissy that all of this seemed very apparent decades ago and it still took that fu*king long to come about.
