  1. Thanks for the shout out Matthew! Yep Ken H., it is Miss Lillian Gish and Lars Hanson in 1928’s ‘The Wind.’ Directed by Victor Sjöström. Lillian does go quite mad in an isolated cabin on the American prairie. A beautiful late silent, it has one of the eeriest moments in cinema when a murdered man buried in a sand bank is unearthed by the relentless wind, to poor crazy Lillian’s horror. Well worth seeking out!

  2. Thanks, Ken and Dan. Funny I guessed the name of the movie just from that GIF. But I’ve never heard of it before and I’m not terribly familiar with the Gish sisters.
