My brain is totally dead after vacationing… I know the guy is a German character actor who appeared in lots of films in the 30s and 40s. He was in “Casablanca” and had a larger role in that movie set in a music shop starring Judy Garland and with Buster Keaton in one of his last film appearances. Max?
S.Z. Sakall!
Yep, and I think this might be Ball of Fire.
Christmas in Connecticut?
Tom’s comment wouldn’t post for some reason, so here it is: Hey bud, I became brain dead gazing on hot men that preceded this post so you’re not alone. That photo is from Christmas In Connecticut (1945) and it was a really good film. The actor is S.Z. Sakall

I did have an inkling it was “Christmas in Connecticut” but I had no idea who the actor’s name was, I thought it was Max or something. Great supporting/character actor.
