I want to add my voice to the yuge amount of people who are outraged and sickened by Trump’s ill-conceived ban on people entering the US from 7 random Muslim nations. I say random because although the 7 are either lawless, failed states, and/or traditionally adversarial with the US they have little to do with the stated purpose of the ban (preventing terrorists from entering the US). If that were truly the reason for this ban then Saudi Arabia and a few other nations would have been included at the top of the list since they actually have been the source of terrorists and funding. But no. And I am appalled at the total lack of care or urgency the US government has taken concerning the Syrian refugees fleeing from violence, authoritarian dictatorship or radical islam, and a completely destroyed country. I know that a lot (50% or more) of this blog’s viewer’s are from outside the US – please know that something like half or more of Americans are against this Trump bullshit and in some places as diverse as New York City and the little island in a rural state where I live are more like 80% against Trump. I really do believe the US is going down the slippery slope into hell that happened in Germany in the 1930s. How far the US goes down that slope though may be different. I don’t think Americans in 2017 are as complacent as the Germans were in the 1930s. I think it’s going to get ugly.
