Interesting poster, the great swimming pool has been destroyed to build a particularly ugly building in the 1970’s. Here is how it do look like nowadays:
you can just walk near montmartre with streetview from last year’s summer cliches.
Notice the phrase on the lower left panel, near the young woman drawing:
“Vendredi, Réservé aux Dames”.
meaning:
“Friday, reserved to ladies”.
I think it was reserved to ladies because of constant harassment by men, but I can check that. Normally, it was opened to all but with risks to lone women.
