  1. Happy St Patrick’s Day!
I’ve been there, it’s the Rock of Cashel in County Tipperary in Ireland. It’s very dramatic – this pic doesn’t show the views over the countryside. The round tower is 12th century, and the rest is a cathedral. It’s mostly ruins, but there is a tiny chapel inside with early medieval wall painting; amazing to imagine what it would have been like those centuries ago.
    Cheers (or Slainte!),

    • Thanks for the identification, I thought it might be in Ireland but wasn’t sure. Never been to Ireland or Wales but have been to England several times and Scotland once. It’s fun to imagine what some of these historical sites/ancient ruins once looked like!
