My dog died today. He was 13.5 years old and had had some health problems in the last few years. I will miss him. He was with me almost all the time, non-stop for 13 years including at work (since I do work outdoors). He was the perfect pup (totally behaved, stayed around, and was totally in sync with me). He had a great life and we had a lot of fun together. I’m going to be pretty lonely without him.
Oh Matthew, I’m so sorry. He was a great pup!
I got a pup last year and I don’t know what I’d do now without him. My heartfelt condolences.
Enjoy every moment to the fullest with your pup, because 10-16 years can fly by. I may get a new dog, maybe next year at the soonest. In the meantime I have to transition to getting used to not having him, Junior, around me all the time.
Thanks, Daniel. It seems pretty empty around the house now. But I have a shit-ton of work to catch up on so hopefully I’ll be plenty distracted.
So very sorry to hear this, Matthew. Alas, to have animals is to loose them.
Thanks, Arthur. I knew this day would come so I made sure that I made a great life for my dog and enjoyed him every day. He was with me all the time so it leaves a big hole in my life.
You’re welcome, Matthew.
So sorry to hear this, Matthew. Loss like this is never easy to cope with. Take comfort in the fact that you gave your wonderful friend a long, loving, happy life.
Thanks, Jimbo. Yeah, Junior had it good and I was lucky to have such a good friend. Leaves a gaping hole in my life but we had an amazing 13 year run.
Sorry, Matthew. A dog is a friend; a companion; a confessor; a confidant. You will miss him. We all grieve with you.
Thanks, Dennis. It’s pretty heart-wrenching to go through the loss of a close companion and experience major empty-nest syndrome but it will get better and I’m remembering the good times.
