Yeah, I thought it probably was – the Jesus-on-the-cross and the twelve apostles around the edges were clues – but didn’t know for sure. As it turns out, it is not a bible cover but the cover of a Holy Roman Emperor’s book of gospel excerpts. Definitely a Bible cover, Matthew, Mark, Luke & John in the corners. Might even be a New Testament or a gospel book specifically.
