Apparently back then it was OK not to ask permission to kiss someone as long as you “whisper softly that her rosebud lips remind you of cupid’s bow”, and then sigh dreamily. But they did get one thing right – make sure she has been chewing listerine gum because… COOTIES.
Just out of view is a huge light pink climbing rose intertwined with a big mid-purple climbing clematis. This garden changes yearly with the owners whims and new directions. I love working in this and the other, adjacent gardens at this house. But first, I have to finish the lumberjack season.
