My guess is if the (beautiful) woman had been a collaborator, she would have had her head shaven already and would definitely not be smiling at all. Don’t you think?
I think I read, wherever I found this picture, that were freshly arrested – note that the Nazi guy is still in uniform. I don’t think they shaved the heads of French women collaborators the second they were arrested. But I bet she was shaved soon after! The shame!
