Couldn’t post this morning like usual because last night there was a severe thunderstorm and it knocked out the internet and (landline) phone service to the island. It’s back up and running but now another severe storm is about to hit. A woman who lives 2 km down the road from me had her house struck by lightning last night – didn’t burn the house down but all her electrical wiring got fried and any electric appliances or fixtures that were plugged in were ruined.
