I live in Montréal and that smoke was suffocating for sure. Today it’s better thanks to the changing wind going north and the good work of firefighters. It burnt 10 millions hectars of forest the size of Newfoundland island. A record for now. Rain had helped too..
It’s weird, down in Maine we haven;t been getting any of the smoke from the Québec fires even though we’re so close – wind has just not been blowing from the NW at all recently. We’ve been getting a lot of rain here the last few months so Maine forests not burning like they are up there. Good thing, as I am a forest fore warden.
Nice for you in Maine. Just take care as they are annoucing that the smoke from the western provinces are going down to the mid west in USA and will come up north toward us. A weird trajectory not usually seen.
