Although, yes I am indeed a lumberjack, I don’t split wood. When a client does ask for some firewood I have an assistant split it – with a machine. Though I did have one guy working with me who insisted on splitting firewood by hand, often shirtless, and I said OK.

Is that a wedge axe he is using? I never used one before. We just used a regular axe to split firewood growing up.
They both look like mauls to me but like I said in my operation wood splitting is done by machine and we use chainsaws to cut trees. So no axes involved, But I do own one.
