Square Saint-Louis

Two nights I stayed in a hotel in Old Montréal and two nights I stayed on a friend’s yacht at the Yacht Club de Montréal. Most of the yachts, including the one I stayed on, were a lot larger and fancier than those in this pictures but it was hard to find a place to take a photo with both boats & the skyline since all the larger boats blocked the view. I have never slept as well as those two night being rocked gently by the river, like a baby in a cradle.

Close up of some street art/graffiti that caught me eye on a vacant store window on Blvd. St. Laurent.
Although I found the city to be dirtier than the last time I was there it was also so very quiet – they really do try to limit car traffic by eliminating parking or making it super expensive to park, closing streets so they are pedestrian/bike only, few sirens, as well as so many electric cars, delivery vans, and trucks. It’s a huge city (5th largest in US/Canada combined) and I only walked around in Old Montréal and up on the Plateau region where I used to live. So many great memories from living there for years & I just made some new ones. Really miss living there, one of the few cities I could stand to live in, but I will visit more often.
