In case you’re wondering why I’ve posted lots of pix of Mont St. Michel – I just think it’s really cool looking. I’ve always been drawn to islands and this one is unique in it being covered in a village and topped with a cathedral. I’ve visited it once (as well as been to St. Michael’s Mount in Cornwall). So pretty from a distance but I wouldn’t bother visiting them. Mont St. Michel is just a tourist trap and the day I visited the mud flats surrounding it were rather pungent.
