Last night this blog blew past the 2,000,000 hits mark. No one could be more stunned than me, but there you go. The bulk of the credit, of course, goes to those who created the images that have been posted. And credit goes to everyone who has had the impeccable taste to land on this site and find something they like. I do spend some time amassing, renaming, and posting images and though not the most productive use of time it is at least far better than wasting time watching TV, or drinking and the whole alcoholic lifestyle, or writing a novel that is then never finished and/or never published, or being in a unsatisfactory or unhealthy relationship. I learn a a lot from doing this blog actually – expanding my knowledge from merely looking at an image or in some cases doing further googling/research to learn more about a subject. And then there’s all the hot shirtless men, which are displayed purely for educational purposes. Anyway, the show goes on. I’m going to re-write the “About” info that was originally posted 7 years ago to update and expand it. Maybe tomorrow.

The ad is referring to Erector Sets, a toy in the 40s and 50s that you could use to build all sorts of things like scale models of skyscrapers or rocket ships.
