I looked it up on Wikipedia – this was  a non-political German humour magazine. Not sure what there was to laugh about in Europe in 1937.

Ah, it’s Krampus time again. The ancient central European holiday where on the evening of December 5th the devil takes away bad children and “degenerate” women so that only good people go on to Christmas. Who doesn’t love a holiday that celebrates child abuse and misogny? Totally kidding on that – and if you feel the need to threaten your kids to behave or else a long tongued devil is going to kidnap and murder them in early December then you might want to check out some parenting books and parenting classes.
