When Birds Attack
Cedar Waxwings
Cedar Waxwings are beautiful birds that stop by the island for a couple days in the spring and in the fall on their migrations. Unfortunately, they are also little pigs and a flock of them can be very destructive. I’ve seen a flock of Cedar Waxwings strip an entire apple tree (a large one) of its blossoms (and eat them) in a few minutes. Good thing they’re not around when bluberries and raspberries are ripe.
