Flower Power

I took this close up picture of a dahlia in the bright, mid-day sun. It was totally washed out and flat looking so I edited it to make it even brighter and more interesting.

In loving memory of my favorite landscaping client and dear friend/confidante who recently died

I took this photo in her garden. The garden was a boring vegetable garden with straight rows. Till I got my hands on it. Over the course of the last 10 or 15 years I transformed it into a garden filled with flowers, herbs, and vegetables with a Tuscan inspired layout. She said my work gave her some of the greatest pleasure she has known and that when people visited her everyone would look at her garden and forget about the stunning shell sand beach and ocean view she had. I will miss her deeply.
