I can only think of 2 Barbara Stanwyck movies that I’ve seen (Double Indemnity and wasn’t she in one version of “The Women”?). Maybe this winter I’ll go on a Netflix binge and see more of her films. I read somewhere on the ‘net recently that all the Hollywood Stars (of the Golden era of the 30’s and 40’s) thought she was the most likeable – and she got along well with everyone. A rare feat in backstabbing tinsel town. I think she’s one of , or the, most beautiful of all the female stars from that era.

See “Ball of Fire” if you get a chance, Matthew. It’s really fun. Just saw “Ten Cents a Dance”–early Stanwyck–and it is interesting but not great. Of course “Double Indemnity” is incredible, in spite of Barbara’s wig. Speaking of “DI,” I just got Billy Wilder’s signature. How neat is that?
“Balls of Fire” it is! Later in the year, when I have more time though. And very cool you got Billy Wilder’s signature!
