I’m the Forest Fire Warden for my village, the person (in theory at least) that’s in charge of fighting any forest fires. I am trained and certified in that – though the training was a joke, I have little actual firefighting experience, and this village has very little firefighting equipment. But I did work with several others in late August to put out the forest fire that started when a house about a kilometer down the road burned down.
