I recommend you to visit the site of the famous musée des arts décoratifs of Paris, or de Camondo Museum, founded by a famous jewish financier who came to France during the Second Empire and was a very famous collector and passionate connoisseur of the french decorative arts. His fondation is quite active and organize many events and publish many interesting books on this delighting subject:
