You do an incredible job, Matthew. It’s not easy to identify everybody. I really love it if I can occasionally recognize someone and confirm your ID!
I’m looking for a photo of Bele Lugosi as Santa Claus. If I remember right he is looking through a window, with a smile guaranteed to give legions of whelps the willies. It’s not the one with Bela Jr. on his lap. Have you seen it?
Hey Dan! I consider myself more of a “professional amateur”, rather than an “expert” when it comes to stars of the 1930s and 1940s so I appreciate yours and anyone’s help in identifying pix when I can’t. I have a few that I have no idea who they are and could use some help with – will post soon. Not familiar with that pic of Bela you are referring to but if I ever come across it I’ll let you know – it may very well be out there somewhere but if it isn’t identified as such it won’t come up in a Google or other search.
Yep, Matthew! Miss Dietrich. A great shot. I gotta dig out my white gloves.
Thanks for the positive ID! As you know, sometimes I mix up Carole and Marlene in still photos.

Bela, not Bele. Sometimes I don’t catch the spell check “corrections.”
