Matthew, I can’t tell you how wonderful the pre-codes are. Of course you know, but I’d advise anyone to seriously check into them. Have you seen “Design for Living?” Fredric March and Gary Cooper live together in Paris. They both fall for Miriam Hopkins. So, after the requisite drama, she moves in and they form a happy threesome. She kisses one after another on the lips. Fred and Gary don’t kiss, but at a sensitive moment when he feels betrayed, Cooper says to Fred and Miriam “I loved you both!” Really beautiful.

I’ll have to check it out and expand my viewing of earlier films. So many to catch up on!
