Jason killing Medusa?

I just read a little about her – Barnum (of Barnum & Bailey Circus, USA) rescued her from the Constantinople slave market and brought her to the US as an exotic attraction from the East. She was of Circassian descent, Circassia being a non-independent nation inside of the Russian Federation (or as I like to say, and not in a nice way,  the New Russian Empire). It is located just to the north of the Republic of Georgia (and just north of Sochi) on the Black Sea. And mighty close to Crimea.
