When I was a child my family lived in Geneva, Switzerland for a couple of years and I remember going to Chamonix a bunch of times. It was actually quite nearby in the alps. Beautiful in all seasons. I could see Mont Blanc, the tallest mountain in Europe, from my bedroom window.
