I hope your team made lots of baskets and won the trophy or whatever they get. That is the most I have thought about sports in, like, ever, and now I need to take a nap.
I can understand your antipathy towards sports since I couldn’t give a hoot about any of them. Except hockey. Hockey is amazing but maybe you have to have in your blood, or at least having some Canadian or Quebecois genes helps. I think that’s where I get it from. Also, if you look at a hockey game as muscled, sweaty, hairy men thrashing out their homoerotic impulses in public view it becomes a little more intriguing. Think: Ice Capades meets rough foreplay (or at least forechecking) by bears and cubs. I don’t like the actual fighting but that’s not so common in today’s game.
