I have no idea what this ad is for but I’m guessing it has to do with bad odors.

It’s those rolling swells in rapid succession like that that make people sea sick really quick. Love the painter and the painting but it does make my stomach a bit queasy looking at it, being familiar with the ocean and waves as I am.
