Incredible movie. Von Sternberg fills each frame with vines or curtains, then Marlene, then a multi-textured background. Very rich and visually interesting. And so cool that super perv Lionel Atwill, who was to be stuck mainly in horror roles, gets to play the love interest here!
Again, one I’ve seen before but a long time ago. Add it to the list of ones I want to see again! Also have a bunch of GIFs from the movie, will post soon.
