A film noir classic and a movie that I think is generally under appreciated. Yes, there’s a lot of B-grade acting and cliches by the carload but it’s depiction of how fate, spontaneity, and circumstance can totally change a person’s life suddenly is pretty much spot-on. When bad acting and existentialism meet… you get a detour.
