  1. Matthew, your eye for the unusual is amazing. I have never seen the ad for “Metropolis.” It looks like a herald, from Germany or maybe Austria. It is really gorgeous.

    “Metropolis” is an essential film. They have found 40 missing minutes since you saw it last! A whole new storyline with the lizardy Fritz Rasp, and neat technology like people traveling by personal elevators.

    Two of my greatest treasures are signed photos of Brigitte Helm and of Rudolf Klein-Rogge.

  2. I think you’ve mentioned the lost/new footage. Is there a new edition of the movie with all of it included? I saw it in the 80’s so I definitely haven’t seen the new stuff and really don’t remember it that well.
