First off, I totally love the “Island”! Thank you for it!
Secondly, I love this painting but am not convinced that it’s by Tissot whose work is usually very detailed and exact in its execution, especially in regards to women’s clothes; also, is there not a signature in black at the lower left corner?

I looked it up, it’s by the French artist Victor Gabriel Gilbert.
