This is from his film, “The Long Hot Summer”, where Newman plays a struggling young man, rejected by his plantation owning father, played by the one-and-only Orson Wells, It co-stars Angela Lansbury, Lee Remick, Tony Franciosa (another total hunk), and lastly, his wife Joanne Woodward….The film was relased by 20th Century Fox in 1958….and this was one of dozens of scenes of my favorite male actor’s shirtless scenes in this film. I’ve seen it before but it was a while ago. I’ll have to see if it’s ever playing somewhere. Netflix doesn’t seem to have a large selection of old, classic movies.
