Matthew: Your photo galleries are excellent! The unusual scenes of landscapes, the vintage royalty (especially Wilhelm II an others not normally pictured) are respectful, and your photos of models (and movie stars) show both beauty and strength (a rare combination) in an imaginative way that is uplifting and respectful. Even in pictures of the world wars there is a sense of hope that comes through. Though the pictures of models are truly astonishing, the images of real lumberjacks and other workers reveal a vision which connects more deeply to our sense of wonder. Thanks for all the effort you put into these wonderful daily displays.
Wow, that’s so kind of you to say so. I’m glad you’re enjoying the site & my aesthetic. There’s no real rhyme or reason to what I post except that it somehow caught my attention because of its beauty, or its uniqueness, or its ability to inform me about something I didn’t know. Or its something I want to remember. I do, from time to time, post a picture of some historical scoundrel (the Kaiser, Nazis, various royalty) but it’s definitely not like I’m endorsing them or even doing a “both sides” thing – it’s just hey, here’s a fascinating photo of so-and-so, look at that. Anyway, hope you come by frequently. And thanks again!
