I had a landscape customer, a number of years ago, now, then 90, who was a small boy in that crowd when the ship set sail. He remained there watching after everyone else left, and watched until it disappeared over the horizon. He claimed he was the last one to see it from land. He later opened a successful book store, and had a marvelous collection of books about ships. I had the privilege to see his books.
