  1. Oh Matthew! In New Jersey it’s “the shore,” not “the beach.” Put that little bit of trivia under your knit cap. Uh, I mean toque.

    • I have been to the Jersey “shore” before and did know that that’s what they call the beach down there. But I’m a New Englander with Canadian roots and here we call it “the beach” (if it’s sandy) or “the coast” (if it’s rocky). I was not impressed with the Jersey Shore but may not have visited the most scenic parts (?).
