I like how the tree and garden both feel like they’re a part of the room while at the same time provide a live, colourful contrast to the neutral tones in the room. I’d add some nice garden lighting so you get this effect at night as well. When I do landscaping/garden work for my clients I always ask to go into their house to see what they see from their windows so I can make sure they have pleasant views from inside.
That is very important to me as well. It really annoys me that the landscaping of my building seems to have nothing to do with the building itself.
It goes both ways – the landscape & the building from outside and then also what you see from inside the building. Obviously where I live the ocean is the focal point but I try to frame ocean views with plantings that compliment and are in harmony with those views. If you (& your entourage) want to visit me here again I could show you some of my work. Last week of August through mid-October is best for me.
Just sent you an email (assuming you still have the same email address).
