Disney World (“The Mouse”) opened in 1971 and Universal Studios Orlando opened in 1990. The other great attraction, Cape Canaveral, started rocket launches in 1950. The Cape is on the map.
I know Disney World & the huge growth of Orlando happened after this postcard was printed in the early 60’s. I just thought it was funny to see it barely even mentioned. My mother grew up in Coral Gables (just south of Miami) in the 1940s & 50s and she told me that back then Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach were tiny towns you barely noticed driving between Miami & Palm Beach.
