The upcoming Trump regime will not be good for the gays, First off will be the overturning of gay marriage by the Supreme Court in their next session, that’s already queued up. I assume that will mean annulling present gay marriages and prohibiting new ones. Then they strip trans rights and target drag queens. Then, eventually, they’ll get around to just balls out eliminating all equal rights for gays in housing, employment, eating at a restaurant, etc. Obviously not all people will suddenly discriminate but the green light is there for any who want to discriminate against gays with no repercussions. That might be all. Or they may go further and make homosexuality in of itself illegal and start rounding up and killing the gays. And, trust me boys, there is nothing campy about concentration camp. This is why I’m so sad and terrified for myself and the entire gay community in the US. I would GLADLY like to be proven wrong but only time will tell so spare me the “it’s not so bad” BS. Everything in my life is getting upended because of the uncertainty of what is to come in terms of civil rights but also financially, health insurance, ability to retire in ten years, etc. All plans, vacations, expenditures, etc. are on hold till I figure out how to best position myself for the tidal wave of pain (& inflation) the Trump regime will inflict on us.

As a Canadian living in Montréa and having gay married gay friend living in USA (Delaware and New Mexico, I’m sad to see how so many American could choose this DonOld conman to be your president.
The next 4 years after January 2025 will maybe the darkest years for any rights in USA. After that far right SCOTUS rules to overturn Roe vs Wade everything is now ar stake in USA.

Well said. My husband and I have looked at relocating to Portugal and taking an early retirement. At least there we won’t have to go back into the closet. Not only are gays at risk, but women and Hispanic people. Trump is a 2-faced liar and would love nothing more than to turn the US into another version of Hitler’s Germany or Putin’s Russia.
