THE GREAT 2026 BLACKOUT

A strong front with ferociously gusty winds came through yesterday afternoon and blew down lots of trees on the island I live on as well as on the mainland. Resulting in not only an 18 hour blackout but me having to fire up my chainsaw and clear trees off clients’ driveways in very hot conditions. Biggest problem with having a blackout is not having water, as everyone has their own private wells with electric pumps. Had to run to a nearby pond to get some buckets of water so that I could water the $2000 worth of plants I have stored in my greenhouse and outside on tables that I have to keep alive before planting in clients’ gardens. Did not enjoy living like a 19th century peasant, do not recommend, no stars.
